Recording + Producing
From the beginning and throughout his 34 year career in music Julius has always nurtured his multi instrumental playing. Starting out on drums then taking to guitar and from then on being the principle singer / songwriter / guitarist in numerous trio’s he led; he always also continued practicing and performing on drums and bass with different artists throughout the years. As well as on his own recordings. As a result he now has the ability to mould, adapt and add to each part of your song with all of the band instruments; based on the vision you have for it. After recording the vocals and guitar or piano parts of your song; with his signature style of playing Julius can then lay down the drums, bass, electric and/or acoustic guitars, percussion and vocal harmonies where needed to give your song the full band sound. Also helping with the arrangement Julius can produce your song into something special at his studio in Mount Hawthorn or by sending files via email correspondence if you live interstate or overseas.

+ Recorded 2 of my new songs with Terepai Richmond
“This is one of the guitar parts I wrote for Ari Davis’s single Power Of The Dragon. I added this solid grooving riff to create a dynamic half time change in the feel because the chord progression and acoustic guitar were the same over that part of the song but I felt it needed to have movement and stand out to support the vocal hook.” Julius Lutero.
