A beautiful rare Gibson 335 guitar was reserved for me and I was very excited to bring it home. This is the same guitar BB King played and it has a gorgeous blues jazz tone that makes any note sing!
I also purchased a lovely new amp to do it justice. It’s the new lightweight Fender Deluxe Tone Master; a fitting name for the guitar it’s being bought for! It was the newest addition to the Fender line not so long ago; digital amp models that replicate the almost exact tone and power of the famous most recorded Fender Deluxe valve amps from the 70’s. It sounds warm, bright and homely when the ocean coloured Gibson is running through it.

I utilised this tone and sound on a recent recording of a new song called My Beautiful Sunlight with some melodic blues playing on the 335 over the guitar chords finger picked on a Martin acoustic. Plus wait for it, the layered recorded grooves of Terepai Richmond. Yet to be released.
